Higher Maintenance Calories?

Hey there,
I have been reading a few posts about TDEE- which I am still a little confused on. I am currently 21 years old, 5'3 and 115 lbs. I am trying to maintain my weight. I currently eat 1550 calories a day plus whatever I earn from exercise.
Is it possible to up my caloric intake any higher and still maintain?

Gain some weight - the more you weigh the higher your TDEE will be.0

Does anyone have any other suggestions?0

If you're eating at 1550 and losing weight, you need to slowly up your calories until you hit the correct amount of calories that puts you into maintenance. I suggest raising them slowly - 100 or so calories a day and doing it for at least a couple weeks to see how it goes.0

Hi
Check this group out it will help answer questions on eating more and maintain

I am much older than you-but same height-weight, I have maintained almost 2 years-I eat 17-2000 daily. You can eat more than that and maintain;-) Check it out ,I think you will find your answers there:-)0 -
Using this calculator (http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html) if you are completely sedentary you should be eating 1615 to maintain your current weight. Lightly active jumps it up to 1851 and moderately active (exercising 3-5X per week) to 2087. I definately think you need to slowly up your calories to at least the 1851.0

Yes, its possible. Like what chevy said experiment on how much cal will it take for you to maintain your weight. If you chose in MFP to maintain your weight and you are still losing it then I guess try looking into your activity level. If you are doing more than the usual then I guess you can increase your calories to maintain the weight. It doesn't really follow that one has to be at a higher weight to eat more calories since like a 150 lbs person can eat 2320 calories in a day if he/she is active compared to a person who is at the same weight but sedentary only needing around 1800 or so.0

Also, if you are worried about the calorie intake, I also suggest you read this thread that has numerous people who met their goals and are maintaining. Some for years and they also provide their calorie intake and how often they work out.
