Does anyone else start to gain weight before you lose weight? I have been working my butt off trying to lose the weight and I was at first, but now I seem to have gained a little back. Haven't changed my eating habits and I am staying under my goals for the day.

Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. If you are weight training, then you can expect to gain some weight, or stay the same for a while.0

This is what I was going to get at. If you're lifting weights in your routine as a beginner, you will gain a little bit of muscle even if you're on a caloric deficit. People call this "noob gains". It only happens for the first couple months of lifting, and it's a good thing.0 -
Muscle does not weigh more than fat that is a ridiculous statement - Muscle is heavier by volume/denser than fat

I have found than when I first start weight training I build muscle before the fat starts to drop off which is where the temporary increase on the scales come from - remember it is only temporary!0
