This is what it means to be Held.

Two months is too little
They let him go
They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we'd be rescued
What has changed and
Why should we be saved from nightmares
Were asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it's unfair
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held
This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it and
Let the hatred numb our sorrows
The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held
If hope if born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
Watching for our savior
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held.
I have to thank Natalie Grant for this beautiful song above. I often think of it when i think of my poor lost daughter (one day I will see you hand in hand with Jesus my baby girl). But this song is about more than grief and pain. This song is about God's plan. God truly does have a plan for each of us. Maybe we don't understand it now, maybe we never will, or even agree with it but He has a perfect plan for each of us. Sometimes that plan is long, sometimes not so much. Joy, suffering, heartache, victory, defeat, laughter, tears, pain, happiness, sorrow, loss, birth, salvation; these are all woven in to various degrees in His individual plans for us. He is sovereign. The death of my child was the first part of my road to salvation. Getting injured in combat was the first step in finding my wife and adopting my amazing son and having a beautiful daughter. God loves us and sees the big picture. We must try to do the same. In the grand scheme of things God is not worried if we lose 1 pound this week or 5. He wants us to take care of ourselves but His plan is so much bigger. So as you face your weekend do your best, but don't see loss or gain as victory or defeat. Be proud of just being who God created you to be and seek His face. Don't you know your beautiful and your perfect just as you are right now. I will rejoice with you with your weight loss or lift you up if you stumble but either way it goes your amazing, sexy, gorgeous and I adore you. I have faith in you and love you so very much. God loves you even more. Your in God's mighty hands and never doubt you are being lovingly HELD.
God bless each of you my friends. I love you so very much.

Dear KnightofGod,
Those words resinated deep inside my soul. The place where pure emotion stays safe and true. So I cry. The written word can be such a powerful thing, and words with such emotion stirs the very core of me. You seem to get to the heart of what is really important and meaningful in our hectic lives. To stay true to ones self, family and higher power. Thanks... Rebecca0 -
