what feeds your soul?

As I'm settling back into the calorie deficit lifestyle, I'm remembering things that helped me stay motivated through the challenges.

One thing that really helped was to do things to feed my heart and soul instead of my body.

I love to create things. Reaching for my knitting needles, my dye pots, or my poetry book helps me deal with the cravings. Doing something that is really satisfying helps ease the hunger pangs.

I love to take walks in beautiful places. I love to dance. My dance classes and my walks are Me-time, a pure indulgence.

Spending time with family and friends is a blessing.

Service can be extremely satisfying. Helping those in need can quiet that spoiled child in my heart.

Just breathing and enjoying this body I'm in right now.

What feeds your soul?

Running, Brewing beer, sailing, camping, drawing, working with my hands,

I'd like to say my family, but I need a full heart and soul to be there for them, otherwise I get kind of grumpy.

Very nice question OP! My answer--being with my family, my pets, walking outside in a pretty setting, working in my garden, sitting on the beach, sailing, and chocolate!

A full heart always trumos an empty stomach.

For me - music, my lethal white catahoula leopard dog, being in remote places in nature, writing, vigorous discussions, a good IPA with a great cigar, focused time with friends, writing, competing in events, and winning the inner game by accomplishing worthy goals.

I have awesome friends that inspire me.

I also enjoy lots of art/crafty time. I dye fabric and sew it into things, so my mind is always thinking about colors and shapes.

Occasionally I also need a bit of quiet alone time to collect my thoughts, because my brain gets jumbled with everything else going on.

Music ... Both playing (keyboards and guitar) and listening.

There is something about hearing music that just by-passes the thinky bit of the brain.

And I like by-passing that regularly, as you can probably tell by my posts.

I'm also a cricket fan, playing and watching. It's good for nuturing relationships and all that, win or lose the banter is always good.
