Hi ,
I joined a while ago after i heard about my fitness pal, HOWEVER... i haven't exactly used it. I had done weight watchers before where i lost a stone, so it was successful but this this time around its proving very difficult. After coming to uni i have gained all the weight i lost plus more and i am NOT happy at all! I really want to lose weight because i really have no confidence when it comes to my body, i want to be able to enjoy my life without worrying constantly about how i look. I currently have no friends on here and i'm thinking that this would encourage me a lot... Could anyone please help?!

MFP really works! Don't be shy, add friends you'll be amazed how having a network of supportive people helps you lose the weight.
Good luck:drinker:0 -
MFPals definitely help, feel free to add em0

Hi, feel free to add me if you like, the first good thing you have done is deciding to do mfp properly, I guarantee if you stick to it properly you will lose, and unlike other dieting fads, i think this is something that you can stick to long term, after a short while you will know the foods to have and what not to have but the secret is nothing is really off limits, you just need to keep to your calorie targets and eat as healthily as possible and not beat yourself up if you have the odd slip up. Good luck!0

Focusing on losing the 11lb i put on over xmas! Shocker!
But would like to lose around a stone and a half over all! My weigh day is monday x0 -
Feel free to add me :-) I also did WW for a while, and SW, and RC.... I've lost and gained more weight than I care to mention as its always more about the loss than the maintaining :-/ This time I aim to actually change completely how I view food and dieting :-) I want to get rid of this weight and wear something other than saggy joggers and old cords again :-)0

Feel free to add me as well. I know how you feel when it comes to confidence in your body. I used to be the same way. Now, I rock my fat girl clothes! I used to wear everything that I thought would hide my body, until one day I found a fabulous dress in my closet I had forgotten about. I put it on (it was a bit tight) but I thought to myself, "You know what? You are pretty awesome and the world should see that". So every day after that, I just faked it. I told myself I was worthy of feeling good about myself because there are so many other things in my life that I was proud of. My sons, my job, my friends, my business. Eventually, I didn't have to tell myself this every single day. I just knew it to be true. Basically, fake it til you make it!! I am now on this journey, not to get model skinny, but to be healthy. My boys are getting older ( 18 and 13) and I'd really like to be around when they get married and have babies of their own. Stop and think about all the good things in your life and what you have done. Let those be your motivators. The weight is just one teeny tiny speed bump so go out, buy a hot little dress and do your daily chores in it. You'll feel fabulous!!0
