That Time of The Month

I just have to vent about being a woman. So today was my weigh in day I weigh in every Wed morning and have ate healthy logged my calories exercised blah blah blah.... all week to find out I gained .2lbs. Yes it is that time of the month and I usually skip the week that aunt flow comes to town because I never lose and it always makes me frustrated and and depressed. This time however I actually felt like I had lost I was WRONG!! Now it made me have a bad start to my day and makes me feel like I am never going to lose this weight. ...

Does anyone else have that problem when its your monthly?

When I'm close to my time of the month if I weight myself I take off about 5lbs.
3-4lbs for the TOM and the rest for the constipation I get with TOM.
  • I also get that way.. The extra pounds you see are probably from the extra water weight that we females "gain" during that T.O.M... YES!! It can be frustrating.. But remember you will lose that extra pound or two you see once that time is over with.. Happy Losing!!

I dont weigh myself that week. It just pisses me off. You already know you are gonna weigh more and you already know you behaved yourself foodwise so just skip it. I'd rather see a more accurate number on the scale when that time is over.

Yeah I weigh myself daily and it helps keep me on track, that TOM is a pain in the you know what. I gain 2-5lbs in water and constipation on those weeks, no matter how much water I drink, how much I eat right, how much I exercise. It's like we are set up to get depressed, disgusted and to fail.

Same to all of the above. Much as I try to avoid weighing myself around that time, I turn into a weepy mess when I see that in spite of my hard work, I've put on 2-4lb. But then the following week, when I drop that water weight plus a few EXTRA pounds from hard work, I'm on top of the world.

It's hard not to get caught up in the number on the scale during that time, but remind yourself that you're doing all of the right things (eating right, working out, lots of rest and water) and that the scale and your body will reflect that in a few days.
