Holiday Weight Isn't Going Anywhere

Hey guys! really need all of your advice! I'll be honest and say I completely binged for multiple days over the holidays, so weight gain was inevitable- fine. I thought as long as I got back on track it would go away, at least a little bit. BUT I gained 7 pounds and the scale is NOT moving anymore. It's even been going up a little! I normally do not weigh myself everyday but I have since after the holidays because I want to see what's going on, and well, nothing is going on. I've been exercising everyday, eating right and counting all my calories. I thought maybe with the amount of working out I do I could have too few calories, so I tried bumping it up to 1650, but that hasn't gotten me anywhere the past week. So now I'm thinking of going low to like 1250 for a week to see what happens. Honestly I just want to see 149 on the scale and I'll be happy and get back to not focusing on the numbers so much. But really, this is driving me INSANE!! thoughts??

First, 7 lbs is and EXCESS of roughly 24,500 cals. Did you really eat that much? Or is at least some of it water weight?

Second, how long are we talking, and how many times have you changed your approach/cals? Assuming you started after the new year, you're only 8 days into this and have changed your goals at least once. Slow down. Patience. Before the holidays you had an approach that was working, no? Go back to it. Put the scale away for 2 weeks. Worry about the process, not the results.

I'd say it could def. be possible. But you are right, I think I'm taking things too fast. I guess I'm panicking because my weight hasn't been this high for over a year. I think I will put the scale away and then just weigh myself one more time before going back to school in two weeks. Hopefully I'll be at least a little closer. Thanks for your input! :)
