Good morning. What new information have you gathered this year? New information can sometimes be the difference between succeeding and failing! Having a brain is great.... But you only get better when you download new info into it!! (Remember!) The person who won't read is no better off than the person who can't read. -Zig Ziglar

In all honesty I learned that I can do anything I put my mind to.
I know this sounds like the largest slice of American cheese but I really believe it.
There is nothing harder than loosing weight. You really have to shift all sorts of habits and as a result you learn so much about the human body and spirit. This has taken me almost 6 months and I’m still not to the goal. I know that one day I will be there and I have learned how to maintain that weight when I get there.0 -
I learned that there is a whole world out there waiting to give me everything that I've ever wanted. I'm not sure why I never believed that or acted upon that before. I realized that I had the ability to make my life extraordinary...and no one to blame by myself if I didn't make it happen. Once I realized that, it was like I had been blind before. I forgave ex-boyfriends, took giant leaps of faith in all areas of my life, started believing in myself, cut out all negativity (even gossip and complaining...both of which I used to think were fun...), and as a result I have had the most unimaginable success and joy.
Since then, I truly wake up every day thinking...what do I want to happen today? Do I want to meet someone new, write a book, visit the North Pole, fall in love, laugh out loud, get a job offer, help somebody else, sell artwork online...? I decide, and then I take whatever steps I can to make that thing happen.
I also learned that one person's success or happiness doesn't take away from my own -- there is more than enough to go around! It is so much better to enjoy it with them, believing that eventually it will be my turn.
I'm sure you didn't expect such a rambling response, but sometimes I wish that everybody in the world could understand what I finally did, that happiness is a *choice.*0 -

That was beautiful0 -
The largest thing I keep learning this year, is that adversity truly can make one a better person, a larger person (not in the weight sense), a healthier person as one has to go outside of themselves for answers. Don't know if that makes any sense; but when I think of the highlights in my life, so many of them have come from some struggle.0

WOW what a wonderful post. Thank you for this positivity! I do try to live each day making positive choices, some days I have to start over. It is so easy for me to get caught up in any negativity around me.
I feel so light when I am not strugging with negativity!0 -

I have learned to keep my goal at losing weight in the forefront of my life, because it is very important to me. Not to let anything else get in the way. I have learned not to eat when stressed.0

I'VE LEARNED THAT I'M A RUNNER!!!! (hey running sista j )
So stupid, but I was the girl in high school who could barely run the mile in gym class (I know, I've posted it before, but I'm still just amazed that I'm actually doing this.) It's been one year for me this month that I've been running. You could've called me a monkey's uncle 13 mos. ago if you told me that I'd comfortably be running 4-5x/week in one year. I heard once that Jillian Michaels said that completing an exercise is mostly a mind game....you have to want to do it. That has been true for me. It's like I made up my mind that I wanted to do it and I haven't looked back since.0 -
I've learned that the key to happiness is in identifying multiple ways to be happy rather than fixating on one thing, whether that's in my career or my personal life. Even when I am on one path, I understand that there are many alternatives that could make me happy. That way when the environment changes, I can adapt quickly. Being adaptable is necessary for being happy.0

I use to be a runner. My husband & I use to run 9 miles a day back in the 80's. Now I suffer from shin splints and my weight also does not help. I would love to run again. Now I have to walk so maybe some day I will be able to run again.
