Should you continue where you left off on workout schedules?

So far I am doing a 90 day Turbofire Schedule and Insanity schedule it has been over two months since I did these programs and I wasn't eating healthy those two months and I had gained some pounds. So I decided to go back to it and I was wondering should I start over or continue where I left off.

  • You should start over... since it has been two months!

I would suggest starting over, especially if you haven't been doing any workouts to that magnitude in those two months.

A lot can change in 1/6th of a year. My vote is to start fresh.

I'm not familiar with these programmes but assume they are similar to the 30 day shred etc? If so, why not start at the beginning but increase the weights?

I'm not sure about those programs, but I'm a sporadic runner, so I start Couch to 5K over quite frequently. I usually start in the middle at a place that is challenging but not impossible.

I'm familiar with both programs, but have never done them. However, I think you should start over. You don't want to risk an injury. You may be mentally ready to pick up where you left off, but might not be physically ready to do so. Sadly, I speak from experience. In the past, I kept re-injuring my achilles tendon. When the tendonitis would flare, I would rest impatiently for a couple of days hoping it would heal quickly. Instead of easing into my workouts, I would go back to my normal routine. Sure enough, I would re-injure my achilles tendon and set myself back physically for a while. Good luck!

Thanks for the help I was doing a check up of days I have completed for example so far I did Insanity and have Day 7 out of 60 completed when I start over and finish insanity I will just say that I did more to make up for the time that I missed.
