So I Keep Trying To Start Diets And Stuff Almost Every Week And I Always Fail
>> I Go To School And Bring My Special K With Me With. They Have Skim Milk So That's What I Eat For Breakfast With A Fruit Most Times A Banana. I Also Bring Water So I Can Be Drinking Throughout The Day. It's Lunch Time And I Get My Lunch Which Is Usually Pizza And Hand It Over To My Friend While I Eat The Fruit And Milk That Came With It. BUT THE SECOND I GET HOME, There Is Junk Food Everywhere Because Of My Siblings And Their Stupid High Metabolism .__. So I Fall Into Temptation And Stuff Everything In My Mouth And Regret It All Later.
So Does Anybody Else Relate And/Or Can Give Me Any Advice To Stop This Trend? :indifferent:
Thanks A Bunch

Willpower is a very important muscle to exercise.0

As long as I don't see the junk it doesn't bother me, and I usually don't go looking for it. I have my wife hide the junk food.0

If I've read this right then all you're eating during the day is a bowl of cereal and some fruit. If you eat more during the day then you might not be so hungry when you get home and won't feel like pigging out on junk food. Can you take your lunch with you or find a healthier option than pizza? Also yeah, willpower. You gotta learn to say no.0

You are starving when you get home, that's why you eat the first thing you see. I bring single servings of nuts to work and eat one before I go home. When I get home, not hungry and I can go exercise before I have dinner.
You could also have a better lunch, a PBJ with natural peanut butter and whole wheat would be better for you and make you less hungry.
And don't think of it as junk food, calling to you and tempting you. It's just food, but over processed salty nasty stuff! Take away its power.
Good luck!0 -
Spend an hour a week to plan and pre make all your meals and snacks. That way when you get home from school you dont have to think about what you're going to eat.
Why are you buying crappy school food? Pack a healthy lunch for yourself, it's better and cheaper.
Ask your parents to help you be healthy and to not buy those foods. No parent is going to ignore a child who wants to be healthy and eat right. Who knows maybe they will pick up your healthy habits. Have a mature, calm and frank discussion with them about what your goals are and ask them how they can help you.
BTW, Bananas really aren't the greatest food. Very high in calories, carbs and sugar. For the calories you can put a lot better foods in your body.
Try Oatmeal (the real stuff), or egg whites with veggies. Turkey and sliced cheese with some veggies. Stay away from the processed foods like breakfast cereal.
Check out the meals on this website I found. Use this as a guide to make your own meals. https://www.myfitfoods.com/

You can't blame your siblings for your lack of willpower. Each time you want to grab junk eat a piece of fruit or some nuts.
If there is no fruit in your house. Save your allowance or money if you have a job (I know you said you were only 16 right?) And buy apples, oranges, bananas, mangos, kiwi, whatever your favorite fruits and eat that instead of chips, cookies, candy, the junk. Also if you are only 16, maybe join a team at school. Volleyball, or track. That would really help with your exercise levels and could really help you.
Good Luck, it's hard work. Don't give up.
Just remember: maybe some people have been able to lose weight easier than you, but there are people out there who are having a tougher time.
Oh and I agree. Stop buying someone else pizza and feeding their bad habits. Use your money to buy yourself a healthy lunch. I know school lunches aren't the healthiest. So pack your own, and EAT it!0 -

This..all of it. I'm sure your parents would be really happy to know their money is going to feed someone else's kid. Just because there is "junk" in the house doesn't mean you have to eat it and I doubt your siblings are holding you down and forcing you to eat it. You have a choice, think for yourself and make good choices.0 -
Even if your siblings have the metabolism to "afford" the calories in junk food, it's not healthy. They need to eat nutritious food too. And nutritious food can be yummy too -- some of it needs more preparation, but not everything (a handful of nuts or tangerine is easier than most junk food). Work to set things up so that the better choice is the easier one. Distract yourself from bad choices and habits by better ones. Forming new, better habits is generally more effective that trying to rely on just "will power".0

Oh and by the way, I used to be that sibling with the stupid HIGH METABOLISM. Then somewhere around 23 or 25, it hit the wall and I put on 50lbs. Karma is a *****. It happens to everyone. So don't think your younger brother is always going to be a skinny minnie!0

Okay, Fruit and Nuts. Don't Starve. Bring Lunch. Thanks You Guys And Also, My Lunch Is Free So It's Not Like Buying Junk Food For Others -.-0
