Your guess about water is probably right, it's amazing how much sodium is found in holiday treats! I shouldn't worry too much about it going back up as long as you stick to your plan, drink plenty of water and watch your sodium intake ;) Good luck!

It isn't unusually to see a big loss somewhere in your first few weeks. It may or may not show back up.

Yep you guessed it! Salt reduction causes you to loose water weight which is probably what you're seeing, in my first week of healthy eating I lost 8lbs! :o

This happened to me. I lost 5lb last week (first week on diet). Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it, just dreading next weeks weigh in if it's just fluke! Fingers crossed for another loss :)

I have gone through my diary and mathematically I should have lost 3lbs this week but lost 4.5lbs. So I am assuming the extra 1.5lb is a fluke but I earned the 3 and that was not no fluke!

Btw by mathematically I mean a 500cal daily deficit vs bmr loses 1lb per week and I have maintained a 1500cal daily deficit
