Workout Playlist

Options
Hey Pals!

I started going to the gym this week, but found that I was missing a good playlist to listen to during my workouts.

I'd like to know --- what song gets you pumped up the most? What are your top 5 songs that really keep you going?

I'm not particular on the genre, I like all of it.

Go! :)

Thanks,
Brandi

For me, I tend to kick up my cardio while listening to Hard Rock = Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Manson, NIN or Techno/Dance = the Madonna Confessions album is really good. Also artists like Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Tiesto. :)

I can't just listen to any music with my cardio, I have to have it be at least 135bpm in order for it to not slow my walking/running down. It can be slower for weights or isometric exercise. I'm fortunate that my brother teaches step aerobics classes, and he shares his mixes with me. I would probably not know any of the current music at all if it weren't for these mixes. Obviously, the way the songs flow into each other is really well, but there are certain individual songs that I have found give me that extra motivation:

Picking Up the Pieces - Paloma Faith
Blow Me One Last Kiss - Pink
Do You Remember? - Jay Sean
What Do You Want From Me? - Adam Lambert
    Renegade - Wynter Gordon
Nobody's Supposed to be Here - Deborah Cox
The Time (Dirty Bit) - Black Eyed Peas
Sweet Nothing - Florence Welch/Calvin Harris

    Headstrong by Trapt
Closer to the Edge by 30 Seconds to Mars
Papercut and Crawling by Linkin Park
    Mouth by Bush
Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin

I prefer more alternative when working out. I normally don't jam so hard to this kind of music accept when I get my gym on LOL
