Facial skin

With losing 40 pounds my facial skin is "sagging" and wrinkles are more prominent. Doctor said it is due to being over 40 and having "mileage". Has anyone experienced this and if so, what have you done or think about doing for this issue?

Im over 40..Ive lost 60+ pounds... I dont have the facial wrinkles but I think race & genetics tend to play a lot into how our skin handles aging... as long as you keep your face moisturized and use sun screen, all those skin products are like snake oil....
UNFORTUNATELY, I have the skin of a kangaroo pounch below the belt.... perhaps you & I can head to Mexico & get a 2 for 1 deal on plastic surgery? your facelift and my tummy tuck
Good Luck0 -
I agree with the above poster on the moisturizer and sunscreen part. Unfortunately if there is a lot of sagging there is not much a retail product can do to make it go away. You might want to check out a med spa near you and see if they have any facials that would help you out. I trained as an Esthetician for a while and one facial I have heard from many clients which brings great results for sagging is the CompuLift. The only stipulation is you have to keep up with most these procedures or the results will fade, but it's a hell of a lot better than going under the knife.0

Have you lost the weight too fast or are you missing out on key nutrients like essential fatty acids or protein? You might try facial exercise or a home ultrasound device. Check out this store, the owner is a research scientist and only sells stuff she believes from her research is effective.

Thank you all. My weight loss has been over a year's time and I did see a med-spa and the option is laser/skin tightening. He said it would tighten up my cheeks, jawline and "gobbler neck". Cost of course is an issue. :ohwell:0

Thank you....I met with a Dr. at a med spa and suggested the Titan and DOT laser. Also said I was an excellent candidate for lower face lift ~ but money is a huge issue with that, not that the other two are a drop in the bucket. Years of sun damage and not taking care of my skin plays a big part. I thought about buying every "this will make your skin beautiful" product out there...LOL... but know that they don't work. Unless you know the magic formula!0
