Any GERD patients here?

I have just been diagnosed with GERD, anyone here have the same thing?
Do you take medications?
What do you avoid, food wise?

I am new to this and the doctor said food is a major factor with GERD to get the symptoms to have minimal effects!!

    Hiya - actually I was reading up on GERD last night - I wonder if I have it.. how do you get diagnosed?

    I was diagnosed after having a gastroscopy - tube in your mouth to the stomach.... not pleasent but not that much else to do...

    I was diagnosed first with dyspepsia... now I am just not sure which doctor to believe!
