I run at least 10-12 miles a week. After I quit smoking, I was pleased to see that i COULD run again. lol. Also realized that I needed to do it to avoid killing people since I didn't smoke anymore. :)

I am a lot like yoovie - have 3 half marathons, 3 ultras and several 5 & 10K's under my belt. Life happened this last year or so being busy with family and some injury issues. slowly getting back on the wagon.

I love running. Just got back into it this week after a little hiatus. Using the Couch 2 5K podcast to get me back in the swing.

Me! Speed work right now and then training for another half marathon starting in February. Anxious to see how my strength training has affected my running since my running has been just when I feel like it lately.

  • I had to stop running recently due to illness but have just gotten started again this week. I'm trying to get my 5k time back up and work towards a 10k.... Half marathon when I'm feeling gutsy again. :P

Im trying to be an avid runner :) Discovered I actually enjoy it last summer when forced to run in bootcamp. All of a sudden, I didnt feel like dropping dead anymore! Even started liking sprints! Decided to go run outside on my own as I live in the country. Started out 1k without stopping, then 2k, then one day when i was going to aspire to run 3k, I didnt feel like stopping till I ran 4 miles! Then the next time, I ran 5! I am pretty slow, about a 5 - 5.5 on the treadmill, but I did my first small duathalon last summer, this year I am planning a small triathalon, a 5k, a 10, and in feb a 5k winter adventure race with obstacles, as well as one in august. Never in a million years though I'd like running :) But I really do :)

Me!!!!!!!!!!! I ran five 5ks last year and am trying to increase mileage. I want to run a 10k this year and eventually the 15k classic next October. I am not sure when on the half marathon because I can only run about 4 miles right now :frown: I do plan on rerunning the 5ks i did last year to improve the times.

I also can't wait until the weather gets less cold (unfortunately with my asthma I can't run in winter outside so I am stuck doing it on a treadmill and track at the y) because the fresh air will do me good!!!!!!!!!!

I love running . Probably the best HIIT training sessions (sprints) - it builds explosive power, whole body workout ,flexibility and it's the best cardio ,but sometimes you need a switch so I also recommend jumping rope / punching bag =))
