Juicing Advice?

So, my husband and I decided to start juicing. We're planning on having a veggie juice every morning for breakfast as a way to make sure we get in our fruits and veggies. I'm planning on using the fruit pulp to put in homemade yogurt, and making soup with the veggie pulp. But that's all the ideas I have. So, do any experienced juicers have tips for a beginner? Thanks!

Can I ask why you don't just eat them??0

We do eat a lot of fruits and veggies, but I think this will be a way to get all the nutrients more easily. Eating raw produce can get a little monotonous, there's not a whole lot of ways I know to prepare it. Plus, I'm not really the type to just eat cabbage by itself, or ginger, or beets, or lemons.0

Juice counts as one serving a day no matter how much you drink. Why wouldn't you just blend?0

I'm only doing it for breakfast, and planning on drinking one 8oz cup a day. I have tried blending, and I didn't really like it. I'm using it as a way to get more variety than I normally would eat. I also plan on using the pulp, so I will get more servings from the pulp fiber too. I've read a lot of the pros/cons, and think it's a good idea for us now. I really was just looking for any tips from someone who has juiced. Thanks for the concern though, but I'm not using juicing as my only means to consume produce, just to get more variety.0

I have the Omega J8006 and I love that juicer and I love juice. I'm the same way as you - I don't juice to replace meals - I just add a juice two to three days a week to my diet to get an infusion of vitamins. I do a lot of green juices - are you looking for juice recipes? Good combinations?0

Good luck with it. I have an Omega juicer bought 10 years ago (still works like a charm) and rarely do I ever juice. When I do I usually do carrot, apple, parsley. It's always been my fave. Tastes amazing. I grow the parsley myself since it's super easy to grow in a pot on the porch.
As for all that pulp... have no clue. I read all the ways to use it and none of it ever appealed to me. I could see using it to make a soup stock with... but that's about all. I wouldn't put it in yogurt. But that's just me.0
