I'm in Chicago too. We are blessed with so many locally owned mom and pops places to eat at. The downfall of not having to eat the nationwide mega restaurant chains is that nutritional value is not available.

SO what I do is basically try and find a very similar dish at a restaurant and use that as a basis for nutritional value. It may not be spot on. Some local chains like Giordiano's and Lou Malnati's have their NI up I believe.

Just find something similar. If you get a carne asada burrito from El Famous, would it be similar in size and ingredients to a Chipotle steak burrito? Or would a slice of deep dish from palermo's be similar in size to Uno's or something like that? Use that as a guideline.

    Hope this helps!

I ask what's in it,eat half..take the second half home to deconstruct it and add up the calories from what I see inside...This process is rather annoying,so I just have my Burritos at Chipotle or a place that has the nutrition info.
