Has anyone had any success in drinking green tea and/or taking green tea pills? I've always had two cups of green tea each day (just because I like it), but I've recently been adding some iced green tea as well as taking green tea pills.

green tea is supposed to be really good for you, i have yet to try it but my mother raves about how it helps her with energy and controll appeite
  • Careful, too much green tea has been linked to kidney and liver issue - I am sure you are not taking anywhere near this much but just give you a warning. Green tea is great for speeding up your metabolism. I use it when I am cutting fat. (currently bulking - not working as well as I want but it's early days)

I take zinc and magnesium also - the magnesium increase testosterone and I am thinking of stopping this as at my age...it's already at a high level.
  • I have been drinking green tea for years - weight loss coach at Jenny Craig suggested I try it when I hit a plateau. It worked I started losing again. Over Christmas I indulged myself and drank coffee , no weight loss, this week back on the green tea and losing weight again. I drink around 8 cups a day but make it very weak. Green tea with lemon and ginger, yummy!!!
  • I drink 1 to 2 cups of green tea everyday.....I don't think it does a thing for calories, at least for me!

What about caffeine-free green tea? Would it have the same effect? I generally have to stop caffeine around 5pm so I can sleep later.
