Anyone in Indiana?

in Introduce Yourself
My name is Krista and I live in the small town of Brook, Indiana. I have been 40 pounds overweight ever since 2007 when my job was shut down and outsourced to Mexico and China.

After that smack in the face, I enrolled in college and completed a Technical Certificate and an Associates Degree in Office Administration with a concentration in medical, but of course the weight still stayed the same.

It's been 5 years now with yo-yo dieting and no luck.

I'm hoping to find some nearby friends who can help motivate me and I'm hoping to offer support to others too.

I really enjoy walking and am hoping to advance to jogging/running - and could really use some friends to keep me going.

    You aren't the only one, most of us just don't read the "introduce yourself" board too regularly. We have a discussion group called "indianapolis mfp'ers", but it looks like you are more in the region, so I won't bother sending you an invite to that since you aren't too close, but there are people on here in the region also, I'm just not friends with any. I'm sure if you use the search feature on here to find friends in your area you will see hundreds if not thousands within an hour of you...

    If I was still living in Lafayette we would not be to fair away from each other :) but I moved clear across the state to Deerfield, IN and now we are like 3 hours apart! Oh well, always nice to see a fellow hoosier in here!

    I was in Indianapolis for the Drum Corps International final competitons a few weeks ago- doesn't count right?! As a Canadian I have to say- how can you diet with Steak and Shake at almost every corner LOL?!!!
