How do you count burning calories..

for if you do cleaning or chasing around your toddler all day

I don't get to go to the gym everyday so the days I don't I do extra chores and try to go downstairs and up the stairs 2x more than usual. Instead of spending money on a step tracker, how would I know how I much I burn by doing laundry, chasing my toddler around, etc? LOL

I have a polar watch for when im exercising - i don't count toe running about after the kids or housewrok etc as i just use this as a bonus ;) but if you want to - use google :) things like - calories burned while...........mowing the lawn, food shopping etc etc etc - it pretty accurate and a great way to stay up to speed - i think the average person burns 1900 or something doing nothing but eating and sleeping etc hence why eating fewer calories will automatically make you burn unwanted fat storage :) hope this helps.

Don't count them. They are free dietary calories out. They can count towards a deficit.
You should only count dedicated exercise.

I don't count them, even if I do lots of extra cleaning or chasing of the kids. Only time set aside spent exercising is what I'll count.

I wouldn't count them as exercise but I would make sure your calorie goals were set with the appropriate activity level, lightly or moderately active versus sedentary. That will give you the correct amount of calories to be eating, IMO.

I'd go by activity level personally. I've seen people try to log Watching TV as exercise at 1 point.
