    Seriously - heaps of threads covering HRMs here - you'll find the Polar brand to be the most popular here, and info on a few others as well.

    I have a New Balance from Target. Very affordable and does everything I need it to do. It is one with a chest strap and watch.

    My husband and I both got a Polar FT60 and we absolutely love them. We bought them off of Amazon and they were a little over $100 each. Seriously the best investment in our future ever. Highly recommend! We've had them for over a month and use them for every workout. It's super useful for tracking accurate calories burned as well as if you want to train for fitness or for fat burning only. Seriously so great! Good luck with your search!
