Looking for 20-ish year old friends eating 1200 cals!

Hi! It's my 1-week anniversary of starting MFP and I'm loving it so far, so I thought I'd start looking for friends! I'd love to find more people with similar body types as myself, but I'll be friends with anyone who's also trying to lose weight :) Currently I'm 5'0", age 24, 125 lbs (used to be around 150-160), if that's relevant to your interests.

  • Wow that's good! His did u loose the weight? In 5"2 I weight 165 but want to go to 130! But it seems impossible!

    I'm 5'3 175lbs and I want to get to 130. :) I'm on a 1200 cal. a day plan.

  • I wish I could give a more specific answer to how I lost the first 30ish pounds, lol. Basically I had a year off between undergrad and graduate school, so I didn't have all that school stress on me and I could really focus on being active and eating right (I had a bad habit of only eating pasta and mac and cheese in college.. I was probably eating like 2000-3000 cals/day). I only mentally kept track of my calories and just tried to eat healthy in general, and I got really into biking for fun around lakes by my house, took a job as a barista where I was on my feet all day, eventually started jogging, and later got into Gumdo which I still do. The 30 came off pretty steadily over a 9 month period, then it sort of stopped which is why I am now very serious about counting and logging in my calories *exactly* now so I can lose that last bit.     Hi! I'm 5'2 and I weigh 172 and I wanna get to 130. I just started...again. I had lost like 10 pounds but fell off the wagon so here I am, trying again. Though this time around, I'm a lot more determined to reach my goal. :)

    I'm 5'1 and as of today i'm 172 pounds :( would like to get to 135 and see how much lower i want to go. (The lowest i've been in 5 years is 145ish.) I'm eating 1200 cals and watching carbs.

    I eat 1300-1500 calories a day. I have 5-10 pounds to go.

    current weight - 124pounds
    goal weight - 120-115pounds
    however the real goal is to tone up, so I'm starting to not worry too much about what the scales say! :)

  • Hey, I 5 feet, my starting weight was 130lbs, I'm currently 121lbs, my goal is unsure..I'm trying to gain muscle, so who knows, probably between100-115lbs.

    i want to reduce my body fat also. Im not for the weight actually but the body fat. If i would have a smaller body fat then i would have a smaller size. since I am a smaller frame

  • I think 1,200 is a bit low. Do you eat your exercise cals back?

    I am 20 years of age, 5'6 and eat 1,600 as a base amount. I will usually eat back atleast half my exercise cals also!

  • I am about 3 weeks in and i have already lost 10 pounds. Supposed to be eating 1,330 calories a day but I am coming in around 1,000. I am also having the help of a doctor prescribe pill. The pill makes me so thirsty and it doesn't make me crave anything at all. I just started yoga and wasn't quite sure how hard it was till i tried.
    This is a lifestyle change. I am a southern girl that is grown up on potatoes and a full table or meat. When i moved in with my boyfriend it was a rude awakening when i gained 30 pounds in 3 years.

    Hey! Here's my info:

    Age: 23
    Height: 5'2"
    Current Weight 138.2 lb
    Goal: 115 lb
    Calories: 1330 (although I've been going over...)

    1200 is a bit low for me, and even 1330 is a struggle at the moment. I used to eat between 2000-2500 calories a day, but that's when I walked EVERYWHERE (3+ hours a day). I need to get exercise back into my schedule. I tried doing Zumba in my apartment, but the neighbor below doesn't appreciate it... I usually only log on to update my food diary or I'll get too distracted on my computer. Feel free to add me if you want! :)
