    Hi I'm in too

I've just rejoined and need to focus!

I will be turning 37 in 8 weeks, so this is great timing!

    Goals:
    1) Exercise at least 5 times a week
    2) Make healthier food choices and log food!
    3) Lose around 10lbs+ in 8 weeks

    SW 139
    PW 139
    GW 129

    Bring it on !

I turn 39 in 8 weeks (June 7) and this was part of my motivation for picking 8 weeks!

I'm so in on this one!!!!

I turn 37 in 8 weeks (June 10th) and my one and only goal is to weigh 156 on that day, which will give me a total weight loss of 30 LBS. since Jan 3rd. Wish me luck!

    SW 186
    CW 165
    GW 156 (for June 10th)

Is it too late? I like to join. I've been back and forth too.

    Goals

    1. Log in everyday.
    2. exercise 3 times a week
    3. loose 10 lbs

Of course, we just started! The more the merrier.

    Hi

Can I jump on board? Here's my goals:

    1. Lose 8 pounds taking me from 157.3 on Monday to out of the 150s at 149.3!
    2. Run 3 x a week including at least one long run.
    3. Successfully run from my house to my parents house (15k and the last 4k are uphill)...some walking on the hill would be okay so long as I run the 11 flat ks

This is perfect timing as I have a long weekend trip to Melbourne for dancing in mid-June, so my reward for successfully completing these three goals will be some new clothes for the trip! Plus better fitness and stamina so I can dance ALL weekend! Yeah!
  • This is just what I need!! A group of dedicated people to surround myself with! I have been trying to diet with work friends but it has not gone well at all. As soon as someone arrives in the office with a birthday cake, everyones diet goes out the window. I must admit I was beginning to lose motivation that I would ever get this weight off!

My 3 goals are: 1) make effort to log everything I eat!

    2) do not go over my daily assigned calorie limit

    3) excercise at least 3 days a week for a minimum of 30 min.
  • Im in yall have been working out for a few days but i started my journey 6 weeks ago- still learning!! Ill do another 8 with yall
    My goals...
1 lose as much as possible before my move on june 13th
    2 drop a size
3 log everyday with exercise and food
4 burn a minimum of 500-600 calories per day
5 run a 5K under 30 minutes by may 13th.......basic graduatiion for my son!!!!

    I wish everyone good luck!!!

Welcome everyone who's just signing up today - quinnclan, ctabecoop, and hepkitty! I'm really pleased that so many people are joining us.

I hope everyone is doing well and that you are working your goals! After roughly 6 weeks using MFP to help plan and track my food, I'm starting to fit into clothes that have been too tight for me for a year or two. It's a great feeling and I want to keep building that momentum.

I don't see any dissent, so let's plan to check in on Fridays. Now it's time for me to go to bed so I can get up and put some miles on my treadmill in the morning!

Hey everyone, it's Friday here already so here's my update on progress:

    1. Lose 8 pounds - this morning I weighed in at a loss of 1.75 pounds!
    2. Have run 3x this week including one 8k run so, check!
    3. Haven't tried the 15k run yet but I think I will aim for a first try either the 9th May or the 15th May.

How did everyone else go? I guess it's not Friday for most of you yet but I look forward to hearing everyone's progress reports! Good luck!

    Hey hekpitty,

Good on you! (Is that the phrase - oh, is that an Aussie phrase? If so, apologies!) Any way, that's great! It's only 8 p.m. here, so I don't know what tomorrow morning will bring.

Random question - are Jemaine Clement and Brett MacKenzie, aka Flight of the Conchords, popular in NZ? They crack me up!

    Keep up the good work!

Ok, if its not too late, could I jump on, too? My goals are these:

    1. To be accountable by logging EVERYTHING.

    2. I want to start training 5 days a week. Alternating between running and Taekwondo. Lately, its been either one or the other.

    3. To push away from food I know is bad for me.

And.... if I happen to lose weight in the process, all the better.

Welcome Murdog! Good luck with the tae kwon do training. I currently study aikido, but have studied karate in the past.

    Good morning everyone!

Here's my official check in for week 1:

1.) Weight - I've dropped 2 lbs this week. Woot!
2.) Today was my sixth day of exercise for at least 30 minutes each day. (And tonight, I get to mow the lawn, which is another 1.5 hours of cardio - my house is on a small hill, lucky me!)

I can't wait to see how the rest of you are doing!

    Chris
  • Happy Friday! I am ending this week on a good note. I lost 1.8 pounds and had to wear a belt with my favorite pants! That must mean I am on my way down to a size 10. Not there yet, but I have been going in the right direction this week! Have a great weekend, folks!
  • I'm up for the Challenge...

    1. I need to log my calories daily
    2. workout 4-5 times a week
    3. lose 10 lbs

Hey, guys! Looks like everyone who has checked in is making progress - yay!!!

For the past two weeks, I haven't missed an Insanity workout and have even managed to add two weightlifting sessions (ChaLEAN Extreme) per week! I've logged in to MFP everyday and recorded every morsel of food - even those few I was ashamed to... :embarassed: I also managed to weigh myself and so far, I've lost 5 lbs!

    Keep it up everyone!
