A little rant with a point. I hate going into a stinky lockeroom where guys walk around with their cranks out wanting to talk about sports and he news. I hate waiting in line for a machine wih sweat dripping from the last person. I love the idea of back packing or walking in the woods to get exercise and be fit, but just like most of us, there is only so much time in the day to work, see the kids, talk to friends or even watch some tv before I need to get 6-7hrs of sleep, just to do it all over again.
I was just talking to a trainer that put it this way. Think about waking up in the morning, are you excited about brushing your teeth or putting on deodorant? NO. The lifestyle we should all be seeking is the lifestyle of, working out is like brushing your teeth, YOU DO IT because its a way of life, not something you can skip for weeks.
A big lightbulb went off. I get it. Being active is something we need to do so our Teeth don't fall out ha ha. No, so that our bodies don't let them selves go. Get Me?
My Ah ha moment of the week

You need to go to a better gym. My gym is always very clean and unless you go at peak hours (when everyone gets off work) you'll almost never wait for a machine.0

Yeah that sounds like a crappy gym. Or switch the time you go maybe? My gym is clean and generally never past 50% capacity. I usually go at 5-6am, so I've only seen the 6:00pm (after-work) crowd a couple times, but I've still never had to wait for a machine. Gross.0
