A tiny success but I love it!

I don't normally buy clothing that is too small for me, I buy the clothes as a reward when I need new ones. But I COULD NOT pass up a pair of Lucky Brand jeans for $10(!!!) that were size ten. This was in June, and I was a 12/14. I did well at maintaining but not losing for months, but when I had surgery on Christmas (appendicitis) it really helped me keep the holiday weight off. I knew I had lost a little weight following the surgery by resolving to eat better for the New Year and starting back in December (this is how I stick to resolutions-I try to build the habits in December so I'm ready).
Yesterday I had a horrible day and felt like I wasn't making any progress, but today when I was looking for something to wear to dinner with my boyfriend, I decided on jeans. Since the surgery I've only been wearing loose comfy sweats, and decided to try the Lucky jeans on a whim. They got over my thighs and butt without tugging. Interesting. They were sitting comfortably on my hips; I could attempt the fasten... and they closed with ease. I am wearing size 10 Lucky Brand jeans and I'm just getting (re)started! One more size and I'll be in the single digits! I'm amazed. I'm proud. I'm relieved because I thought I was on a plateau forever. I'm reenergized to keep going!!
Anyone else have any little triumphs today?

Congrats! Thanks for sharing the encouragement! i can't wait until my now too-tight jeans are too loose and I can pull out my next size smaller jeans! Then repeat - and repeat - and repeat - until I'm officially wearing my Victoria's Secret "skinny" jeans again!0
