Hello! I just started dieting a few days ago and I have been invited to a night out. I don't drink alcohol, and before my diet I used to drink red bull (which I obviously can't now) I don't like water so...
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Also, I'm new here, so lovely to meet you all .

I, too, do not like water, but I had to start drinking substantially more to avoid kidney stones. After the 5th one, I decided drinking water was much easier. I ended up turning to sparkling spring water. First I poured it in a glass over ice and squeezed either lemon or lime into it. Later, I started buying the sparkling water with essence of fruit flavor. I found this much more enjoyable to drink. The carbonation gave it an edge that made it seem like I wasn't drinking water. Now that I drink only sparkling water (aside from alcohol which I am severely limiting due to its calories), I can't even drink soda anymore. Coke, Sprite, Mountain Due; they all taste like sugary, syrupy messes to me. My sister became diabetic, and I turned her towards sparkling water and she loves it. Poland Springs makes a good one, as does Adirondak. There's NO sugar or sweetener added at all.0

Why can't you drink red bull now? (Not saying you should, just wondering the reasoning).0

Red bull is full of sugar/caffeine. I'd rather just cut it out. Also, to be blunt, it goes right through me.0

I drink TON'S of the essence stuff. In fact, that's all I drink when I am at home/at the gym. Thank you for the lime/lemon suggestion I may give that a go when I'm out and about!0

It depends what type of place you're going to as to what kind of drinks will be available. You're not going to have a whole lot of variety at a nightclub for instance but if it's just a pub then there'll at least be some better options such as fruit juices, fruit cordials or diet soft drinks. I know Wetherspoons have monster low carb so if you like energy drinks that's a lower sugar/carb/calorie option
On another note I'm surprised to hear anybody say they don't like water! How can you dislike a liquid that doesn't taste of anything? Have you tried sparkling water if you don't like regular tap/mineral/spring water?0 -
Yep tough one. Most bars have juices like pineapple juice and orange juice. But they can be as dense as soda IIRC. You can always bring crystal lite packets heh.0
