See if you can get some exercise in before you go out, so you've got extra calories in the bank. What do you normally drink?
If its wine, go for a lower alcohol content, possibly add a mixers which will dilute it or you could chase your drinks 1 alcoholic followed by 1 non-alcoholic.
As to the food, where are your friends planning to go?
Explaining to them that you are trying to lose weight might help. I know some people can be a bit dismissive of weight loss efforts but most people are normally quite supportive.
Remember, losing weight doesn't mean, not having a life. It just means living differently than you once did.0 -
we normally end up at like chilli's or something like that and i am a beer drinker.0

So go and have one beer. It's either that or eat less and exercise more. Choices, babe.0

I'm not familiar with Chili,s - we don't have them n the UK, but it's just about choosing healthy options. What ever you have have a salad not chips as a side.
Are you able to view the menu in advance and decide before you are there? You can then plan your calories around that meal.
As to drinking beer, you have a few options. Have a shandy (although I think they're horrible), chase your drinks, for for a "light" beer or a zero alcohol beer. Have a look at a website called "get drunk not fat" which shows you calorie values for drinks.
I was surprised to find that a pint of lager only has about 180 calories - I though it was closer to 300.
Hope some of these suggestions help0 -
Stick to grilled chicken and veggies at the restaurant. Sure they add seasonings that may not be super healthy but its better than a plate of baby backs! haha.
Also, Michelob Ultra has a pretty decent taste. I started drinking it at hockey games because I'm not a Bud fan and its pretty good and has less calories. Just do it in moderation though, maybe for every beer you drink a glass of water too. You'll probably drink less because of being fuller.0
