Twice in one day?

Hi all,
I don't usually post but wanted to get some advice. I went to the gym this morning did 45 mins of cardio and about 45 mins of strength, lifting body weight exercises.
The problem is I'm feeling very stressed and on edge and want to go back to 'blow of some steam'. Is twice in one day too much or would not hurt as a one off. Just recently i've noticed a leap forward in my fitness and stamina which I think is helping with the whole gym buzz thing!
Thanks.

Why would it hurt?
As long as you have the stamina and energy, much worse things you could be doing to "blow off steam".0 -
Sometimes I wind up doing exercise twice in a day. A mild Pilates workout in the morning (20 mins) and then maybe 30 minutes of cardio in the evening. This isn't every day, though - but I can't imagine twice in a day would hurt, as long as it's not excessive and you do take your rest days.0

one time wouldn't do any damage...making this routine would probably not be a great idea...your body needs rest and recovery from exercise to repair itself. Make sure your are fueling properly too.0

Just listen to your body. If your joints are all feeling great and you're energy levels are high, go for it. We often work out multiple times in a day and just don't realize it (like if you're doing a lot of walking sight-seeing, or you go out dancing). Have fun burning off that steam!0

One day off a week
As many times a day as makes you feel good and helps the burn
Feeling holy as hour this morning and just did another forty-five minutes

If it feels right...Do It! Just don't overdo it.0

Just be sure t fuel the tank before you go for a drive.0

If you want to train like an athlete i.e. double workouts... do it. But then eat like an athlete too. You must eat those exercise calories. No self-respecting athlete wouldn't fuel their workouts.0

I used to do the 30 DS and NMTZ by JM twice a day, when I woke up in the morning then as soon as I got home in the evening. It was a great stress reliever. I just made sure I ate enough in order to help my body through the workouts.0

I've been working out twice a day for about a week. I go before work and again in the evening. The great thing is I'm too tired to eat too much and if I'm extra hungry one day, I have more calories that I can use! I say go for it, your body will tell you if it's too tired.0

i workout twice a day a lot - for that reason. sometimes i just need to blow off some steam. but i try to balance it out. i went to spin this morning and am heading to a pretty slow flow vinyasa yoga class this afternoon. but there are definitely days that i go all out more than once to try to slow my brain down. like others said, just make sure you eat enough to sustain a healthy workout!0

Just do different things and you'll be fine. Make sure to fuel up.0

I think its fine so long as you eat enough for the day.0

Depends what you do and how often you do it.0

I'm always up for twice in one day, but my fiance doesn't always have the stamina.0

Lol.. Love it!0 -
I often do doubles, but it's usually weight training at one session and cardio at another. If your body feels up for it, go for it.0

There's a great full body workout that's perfect for two people, that I'd highly recommend doing twice daily.
Yup, Tractor Pull.0 -

Made me chuckle too!! Not made it to the gym yet, waiting for my stir fry to settle. All i can say is if I had another half maybe i'd not be needing to blow off the steam (hehe) so gym it is! ;-)0
