Does anyone know how many calories an hour long bodypump class is? Or how I would log it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can log it as circuit training but it depends on how much weight you use. It's difficult to track because the amount of weight you use and how frequently the instructor takes rest breaks are HUGE factors. They say the average person burns between 300-400 calories in a class though.0

And it also depends on what release/mix the instructor is using. There are some squat tracks (eg Closer to the Edge, #79) where I will burn many more calories than others. I can burn anything from 250 - 500 in a class, there are really so many variables to take into account.0

It varies but for an average calorie burn, there's some information from Les mills here (page 5)

I did it with my heart rate monitor and it was lower than I'd hoped at 280. I guess it's not a class that my heart rate gets as high as others but I know it's working my muscles harder as I'm sore for days afterwards so defo worth keeping as a once a week addition to the classes that I burn more.0

Body Pump is good...I try 2 to 3 days a week0

Love body pump! For me it works as a cardio workout too so using my HRM I burn from 500+ calories it just depends on how big you are, and all the other variables as well rest stops, weights used etc... If you are doing Les Mills body pump I know that they all go about the same type of routines but different instructors take longer breaks then others so it really does vary significantly
In the link cited above it also says in the Les Mills BP class your after burn is 10% which is nice bc you can add that in as well!0 -
Depending on body weight, 390 calls0
