Day 3

Hi, my name is Jeff and I am starting Day 3. I am diabetic and really need to lose about 50 pounds to be at a healthy weight. I have previously tried creating my own fitness/meal tracker in Excel. It worked okay but it was very time consuming. I can't begin to tell you how much time I spent looking up calories, fat grams, etc. for every meal that i would eat. After a while it would just be too much work and I would give up.
myfitnesspal is the best thing that I have ever seen for tracking meals and exercise. It accomplishes everything that I was trying to do and more. It's really nice that I can access it on my iPod touch as well as from my computer. I'm excited to use this and look forward to seeing less of myself in the mirror.

Welcome to MFP. My story was similar to yours. I have used excel and another program that work well but this is the best program that I have used by far and I like that you can have access anywhere. Good luck with your goals.0
