Hi! I'm Jacy, I'm 23 and I'm a cosmetologist, estetician and cosmo instructor. Having gone through school these are my tips for.you. bring your own lunch as much as possible, bring healthy things to snack on, bring a waterbottle with you, if your school permits it....diff states have diff laws. Plan things out the night before, log it then stick to it. Also....enter all the student competions possible!
  • thanks, actually because of the celiac, I have to pack my lunch. and yes I can have my water bottle all day on class days, which is only 2 days a week, but I can get to my water on breaks and obviously lunch.

    Hi,
Feel free to add me as a friend. I have over 100#'s to lose and have been off dairy, processed sugar ( I still have fruit seasonally) and grain for several months now.
I went through that brain fog when I first went off both the grains and sugar, but things seem to be back to normal now.
It is surprising how hard it is to find foods that are Gluten ( grain) free.
I end up making most of my meals.

We lost our son last month due to complications of Celiac disease at 26 years old.
Please, please take care of herself and stick with the proper diet for your Celiac.
Please feel free to add me.
    Take care,
    Ivy

Hi, my sister is who now 19 was born with Celiac disease. Not the easiest diet. I never understand why people who don't have a gluten sensitivity choose to eat gluten free, but feel free to add me I'm pretty good with gluten-free recipes.

Hey Anjella- I'm gluten-intolerant as well, and at first, I lost weight eating a g/f diet, but I've been exercising less and was recently able to eat more of the starchy g/f bread when my food budget got less tight (that stuff is worth its weight in gold at the register!) instead of eating veggie curries w/ brown rice like I used to, so I'm just trying to lose about 10 lbs and get back into shape.

I'm moving from Minnesota to SW Michigan next month! I'm not sure what part of MI you're in, but I'm worried, since I'm moving to a town of 8,000, that my options at the store may be more limited. Have you usually been able to find what you need?

Celiac is NOT a disease somene is born with, it can be geneticly predetermined and once the gluten is introduced, developed.
