not sure where else this would go but it kinda makes sense. so i was wondering if anyone else here struggles with bipolar disorder? how do you balance between mania and depression as far as eating/exercise goes? when i get low i cant be bothered to do much of anything and snack on whatevers around. so naturally when i get back to an elevated mood,(sometimes this has taken months, days or weeks) i try and do as much as i possibly can at once. just looking for others input and maybe an adjustment to how i approach these these variables that i have no control over.

I also struggle with bipolar disorder, Mine usually hangs around depression and not mania. I fight just get out of bed...I haven't quite made it to the exercise point yet because my energy is so low all the time and I also suffer with fibromyalgia. I can say that I have been the most stable I have been in a long time for the past few months which is good but it is with the help of Geodon (and many other meds) and it causes me to be hungry A LOT! I say do the best can do and if you aren't perfect neither is anyone else and you just start back over tomorrow
  • yeah, its hard. im not on any "meds" per say, i do take a bunch of different supplements throughout the day to try and combat my mood swings.obviously its not going to be as good, but its still pretty effective and i wont have all the bad side effects.

Best way to deal with this issue would be to bring up your experiences with your counsellor/psychiatrist. Could be a different treatment plan may be enable you to level out a bit better and maintain a more consistent energy level.
