My weight has always fluctuated. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I maintain my weight? I have been drinking Ensure which is supposed to help but I haven't seen any results

A new number down that I haven't seen before is a loss for me. I can fluctuate the next day by 4lbs but there's always a number I never c anymore as part of the upward fluctuation. Eg. Say I weigh 100lbs ... It can fluctuate up n down to 104/5lbs ....I lose 2lbs...I fluctuate up n down between 98lbs and 102/3lbs...I never c 104/5lbs as part of the fluctuation any more. For me, the fluctuations I don't c anymore are more important to me than the new number which I may only c just before another loss. I measure waist as well which shows a loss sometimes before the scales do...when the scales fluctuate (I weigh and measure in mornings fairly regularly but that's personal preference) as long as my waist stays the same (apart from TOM) I know the scales are just a fluctuation, but if waist goes up then I know that I've been a little slack!
The lbs I have used are just examples cos Im roughly converting from kg to lbs!0 -
if it is trending the way you want then it doesn't matter. Stop worrying about the random number generator, it will increase your cortisol.0

Before I would lose 10 pounds one week and it would go back up the next week. I wasn't trying to gain or lose weight and hadn't made any changes in my diet. The day I joined this site was the first time I have been on a scale in 2 months (I have only been on here for a few days). I weighed myself 30 minutes ago and I have lost 7 pounds. The reason I was asking what to do about fluctuating weight is that I don't know if thats why I lost the weight or if its from the exercise and eating. It has me worried0

Stay the course you are on with exercise and eating...weigh weekly...for a couple of weeks so you can get a better idea before worrying. Maybe longer than two weeks to see a trend. Make sure scales are accurate. Measure waist. Give it time to settle too. When you start, initial loss can be dramatic and slow down very quickly.0
