I live in San Antonio, about an hour away from Austin and go there every so often. Where are you moving from and what are you most looking forward to about the move?0

I'm from San Antonio and have also lived in Austin. It is a blast. Where are you moving from?0

We almost moved there- we were looking at Steiner Ranch. I know that's a pretty cookie cutter development but it was pretty. My hubby works in Austin but we live in Houston. Where will you be living?0

Hi there! I live in Austin and it is great! We actually live right on the NE side our in Manor, which is just 5 minutes down the road from the Austin city limits, but lived in Austin before moving out here to the country. It is such a wonderful city. So much to do for family and even for the single life. I have two children and there are so many events and activities to do with them. Lots of dining, unique movie theatres, nightlife activity.. and don't let me forget to tell you about the town lake! Perfect area to walk, job, take a stroll, take your pup.. ANYTHING!
I would recommend south, north, northwest and central. Central ATX is very health oriented. Lots of bikers, Sprouts and Whole Foods and Central Market.. things like that. Do NOT, I recommend, living on the east side even if it seems affordable. Terrible area.
You can also visit the "suburbs" like Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park. Those areas are great.
Feel free to add me and I can give you some more info!0 -

I was born and raised in Austin! My family and I still live here in South Austin. There are a ton of things to do year round and the climate, hill country, and lakes make it easier to get out doors for activities.:happy:0

I would eat at Freebirds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I lived in Austin. It is an amazing town!0

I'm actually from the Dallas/Ft Worth area but we travel to Austin often for the weekend. I love it down there. If my company still has an opening by May when our lease is up, I will be there too.0

I am from Amish country, as well and currently live in Austin.
There are a million active things to do outdoors, and even if you prefer indoors, you can probably find it. Any kind of dancing you can dream of...not just two step, but you must give that a try.
My only issue is I have to be careful in the summer - lots of sunscreen and the biggest challenge has been finding sugar free electrolyte replacements. Water just isn't enough for how much I sweat!
Add me if you like and I can give you tons of ideas.0
