There are no magic beans. It will make you lighter if you carry all your money in coin form but if you use notes and cards like the rest of us, you'll weigh the same as you would without using it.
A quick Google tells me that they claim their glorified salt shaker is "doctor created" however the doctor in question turns out to be a neurologist rather than a specialist in any kind of biochemical field as you would expect and that's a starting warning sign. More worryingly though it also tells me that they claim their study is endorsed by the Endocrine society, who deny they have reviewed anything at all. There are no peer reviews, presumably because his peers would label it what it is: a money making scheme designed to extract money from people who should really know better.

It doesn't work!!! I still have 3 vials in my purse-just work out!0

I wouldn't recommend Sensa I have tried it and personally it didn't work at all for me I gained weight using it. But if you want to try it then go for it.0

If you look it up on the sensa website, it states that sensa is an appetite suppressant that you sprinkle over your food and then eat. So basically it works to keep you from feeling hungry or having the desire to eat. Some people have luck using appetite suppressants while others don't see it as susstainable weight loss. See you can't use an appetite suppressant forever, so if you use it temporarily to lose weight, you may gain it all back once you stop if it doesn't teach you healthy eating. You have to make changes in your lifestyle to lose weight and keep it off permanently. I lose some and gain some. I try hard to stick to my good food choices and move more. If sensa makes you not eat as much and ou lose weight, great but that doesn't mean you will keep it off long term if you go back to poor eating.
I have never tried sensa and I don't plan to. I took a different type of appetite suppressant for awhile and wasn't a fan. I can control my body without drugs and I feel more accomplished knowing I have control of my life and my eating, not a medication bottle.0 -
There are no magic cures. Don't waste your money. The only thing you should be spending your money on is healthy food and exercise equipment if that's your thing. Or a gym membership (but neither of those last two are actually necessary.)0

I tried it as well and if you have any type of lactose intolerance, sure you will lose weight INITIALLY from pooping all the time... I used it for 3 weeks and just stopped to start here 15 days ago. I'm not gonna spend another dime on it. Wasn't worth it to me.0

My sister has struggled to lose weight after her two kids and has tried everything from alli, hydroxycut, sensa..etc. She didn't see a lot for results with any supplement she has tried and the second she stopped taking them she gained everything back and then some! I know it's tempting wanting to use something to see results faster but the way I see it...if you work your butt off the hard way, and you make it to your goal weight, you will remember how difficult it was to get there and have less of a chance to go back!0 -
I tried it...lost my first 7lbs on it the first month.. They say that each month is different so your body doesn't get used to it.. Well the second month didn't work for me and make full like the first month.. I tossed it and went to calorie counting on here and lost even more..
oh and I didn't gain the 7lbs back..I managed to keep it off by watching my portions..0 -
It is a way to lose all right.........your hard earned cash!!! Don't bother no one I know who tried it had any results.0

Tried it- no weight loss0

It clearly states on their commercials that the product should be used with a well-balanced diet and exercise. Why then would you need the product? Seems like common sense to me.0

I tried it. Weirdly, it made things taste like raspberries to me, which I truly hate. Maybe that is the "neuro-science". It makes you think your food will taste nasty, so you stop eating it? For me, I just stopped using Sensa. Waste of $$.0

It will make your wallet lighter, that's about it0

To me - that sounds more like a PLACEBO .... lol.0 -
I have been reading up on it, and I am not convinced. At $50 a pop, not FDA approved, I wouldn't. If you are diabetic, it's advisable NOT to use it. If you take any type of drugs, check with your doctor as there are side effects and repercussions.
For me, nothing takes the place of learning how to eat properl and exercise.0 -
I got the Month 1 and Month 2 packs at Costco the month before I started on MFP. I found it really hard to remember to put on my food, and honestly, I don't believe there is anything in it that truly makes you feel fuller from your food. I think its simple psychology. Just the act of having to stop and think before you eat, recognize how much is on your plate, and shaking it in front of other people makes you feel accountable for how much you are eating and you eat less.
I took the Month 2 box (still unopened) back to Costco right after I joined My Fitness Pal. The guy at the returns counter asked why I didn't like it, and I told him it was just a hassle to remember to use it and I didn't notice any difference in my appetite when I did. Then I said, "Yeah, I'm just going to do diet and exercise." His face lit up and he gave me the biggest smile and said, "Good for you."
Returning the Sensa was a moment for me, I was finally done with "magic bullets". Five months of MFP and 40 pounds later, let me tell you- diet and exercise works!!!!0 -

That guy at Costco is pretty smart!
But definitely agree - no magic or pills or potions, just work hard and eat right. That's what I'm doing. :-)0 -
awesome, thank you so much, everyone!!! i know that a proper diet and exercise is the only real way to get this done but sometimes i just get sucked into these magical ideas. haven't tried one yet and now i definitely won't be trying sensa. thanks for helping me get my mind back on track!0

Go to amazon.com and read the user reviews and that should help.
After seeing the commercial one night I decided to do a google search to see how people were reviewing it (BTW- I wasn't expecting it to be good reviews).
You're right though, nothing beats good ol' clean eating and exercising. Sprinkle a little bit of enthusiasm and motivation in your day and you'll be on your way0 -
I've been researching this ever since becoming a victim of their flat out lies. Amazon is a great place for real, honest reviews on anything, Sensa included. Another is http://www.reviewbuddy.org/sensa
Don't ever trust what they say. It's all a bag of lies. It's best to research online and find out for yourself instead of falling victim to their marketing HYPE.0 -
I tried it about a year ago. No weight loss and it gave me terrible stomach pains.0
