Flu makes weigh-in unreliable?

Hi all,

Last night, I spent around 4 hours throwing up (based on the timeline, it was food poisoning, but it could have been acid reflux...it does not matter). I usually weigh in on Sundays. My husband said maybe I should skip it. Does anyone have documentation from their doctor that says how long they should wait to do a check in so they know their measurements are accurate? I'd like to be able to stay on track with my measurements and would hate to have to wait another full week to put in my measurements, but I realize it's highly unlikely that my weight, at least, is correct. Has anyone else gone through this?

Please respect that I am looking for real advice here. To be fair to people who constantly freak out:
1- No I am NOT bulimic.
2- No I am NOT pregnant.
3- No I do NOT have an STD.
4- YES, I am SURE of ALL of those things.
If you decide to be rude, offensive or derogatory and suggest that I'm a liar and am these things, I will be happy to report and ignore.

  • I know you loose lots of fluids when you've been throwing up. Give yourself a day or 2 to rehydrate, or skip weigh in this week all together if you can.

Thanks Shabbyrose...that's what I was afraid of. It sucks to not be able to check-in. I was just able to start working out full time again two weeks ago, so I haven't been doing full check-ins. That's a bummer. But you are probably right.
