Hi,

I had a baby girl in October and have decided now is the time to lose the baby weight and get fit in preparation for returning to work in June. I have signed up for a 5k run in March to give myself an interim goal and have started a postnatal exercise class. I would love to have some support as I'm not getting too much at home! My boyfriend ordered me pizza the other day and last night came home with chips...he's trying to be nice but that's not the kind of nice I need right now! Looking forward to getting to know you.

    Hello Jen

Congratulations on joining this site. I've been a member for a few weeks now but never really paid any attention to the message boards.

I notice you're from Luton. I was born and lived there for years but moved up North. I remember forcing myself to do 50 length at Bath Road three times a week but never really had anyone to help me out.

Have you thought about asking your boyfriend to come on this site as well. Even if he wants to maintain his weight, it will better equip you to get to your goal.

Incidently, when I reach my goal, I am going to Tasty Fried Chicken in Manchester Street for two pices of Chicken and Chips with Garlic Mayo. I can taste it now!

  • Hi Robbie,

Thanks for replying. We moved here a couple of years ago from London as we couldn't afford to buy anywhere else! Have you been back recently? Seems there's a new chicken shop opening every week...good job I'm a vegetarian.

Thanks for the suggestion but I can just see his face now if I asked him to join...he's not really a forum sort of person! How far do you have before you're at goal?

    Jen

I have a further 38lbs to loose (just under 4 stone in total).

I know what its like to move to a new town! I was down for Christmas for a couple of days, but didn't really venture out.

Maybe show your boyfriend the site (just the food logging) and this may spur him on to help you with your aims!
