Aunt Flow question

I lost 5 pounds going into my cycle and during the first couple of days when I had light flow. When the flow got heavier on the 3rd day or so, 2 of those 5 pounds came back. How long after AF goes away until I should weigh myself to get my true weight? I do weigh myself every other day typically, but the natural minor fluctuations don't get to me since I have been sticking to my plan precisely. I want to switch to weekly weigh ins but not sure how long it takes to flush out water retention etc after AF leaves.

You should be able to tell, feel it, it's different for every person, you can weigh yourself every day and see the changes, some people bloat at the beginning and then towards the end it's gone, I stay bloated all through so I have to wait a couple days after

I think everyone must be different. I bloat the entire week before (up to 5 pounds!) and then as soon as AF starts, the water weight leaves overnight!

I gain 3 pounds every month for an entire 7 days. Then, overnight, it disappears and I'm back down to my previous weight or less!

If you lost it then gained it back during your period that is likely not water retention that is dehydration. Usually water retention occurs prior to your period it doesn't persist or recur.

Is it acceptable to weigh in once a month or twice a month? I only ask because then you could weigh in on the weeks furthest from your monthly changes and maybe not have to worry about the details.

I can tell because exactly 1.5 weeks after she leaves, my boobs are back to normal size - so that's when I weigh

As others have said it's different for everyone but I did read that the 2-3 days AFTER your cycle is done is when most females weigh the least each month.

I lose a ton of water the week of TOM, then it slowly creeps back.
