Who else looks very pregnant after they eat a lot or eat certain foods, even if you're sucking in? It eventually goes away, but some days I have it all day long and it's annoying and gross....I know it's normal because food is in there, but there are these girls who eat and eat and eat or drink whatever they want and their stomachs don't expand at all.... = / I feel so fat and gross when this happens, but feel a lot better after it goes away. I drink a lot of water, herbal teas and black coffee so those seem to help.
Who else gets this?
I can put my forearms around my stomach when it's relaxed after eating a certain amount of food or a certain type of food or meal, like I'm hugging my baby! o_o

I'm not sure if that's normal, maybe you should see a doctor.0 -

How is this not normal?0 -
Yeah, it's just the food inside you waiting to digest. I get a little food baby belly after eating too. The smaller you are, the more it shows.0

It's not normal for me. My stomach doesn't expand any noticeable amount after eating. Which is why I said "I'm not sure if it's normal" because it's not normal for me and I don't know about other people.0 -
Maybe they have a hollow leg, I don't know. My sister is very small and she also gets food babies, so maybe it's a genetic thing.0
-
lmao, yep...if u eat tons of food, ofc...0
-
It happens to me sometimes, but only after I've eaten a metric **** ton of food. If I eat my normal intake, doesn't normally happen.0

I wonder if i have a problem...0 -
One day recently I took a series of pics the same day at different times, what a difference. I went from a pretty flat tummy in the morning to looking 5 months preggers in the afternoon. I could use them as before and after photos & nobody would suspect a thing0

My wife calls it a "pasta baby"0

Awwww lol0 -
It depends on WHAT I eat. Foods high in sodium seem to bloat.0
-
You could have a separation between abdominal muscles. Go to google and type in Diastasis recti. It's normally found in women who have been pregnant, but it can happen to anyone.0

My true love is food. I don't mind if he knocks me up.0

yeah, same here0 -
Hate to tell you that it's more of a female thing. I was that way very young and still am at 45. Too many carbs seem to do it to me.0
-
this ALWAYS happens to me. don't worry about it, it's just a food baby and some certain foods tend to make you bloat.0

Now that i think about it, can you feel the separation in your stomach muscles?0 -

I gets the food baby all the time. I get it mostly whenever I have dairy :P0

Yes, you can. If you lay on your back, bend your knees... then slightly lift up your head, at that same time, take your fingers (1,2,3 etc, however many you may need) and push down right above your belly button. If you have it, you will feel the muscles grab onto your fingers like a clamp (so to speak). I have it, and I can fit 3 fingers in my gap.0 -
If it happens when you're not eating an abnormally high volume of food, it might be a food intolerance. Does it seem to happen with any specific type of foods more than others? Like, dairy, gluten (though gluten would be hard to tell because it's in so many foods), certain vegetables?0

Oh boy.....That might be it... = / I'll test this out later and tell you if I feel it or not...
Does this mean I'm doomed to never have the tummy I want? = /0 -
For me it depends a lot on what kinds of things I eat. If you eat a lot of bulky foods like raw produce, you're bound to get a bigger belly compared to if you eat the same amount of calories in nuts. Also, healthy foods can very well cause bloating. Cruciferous veggies or beans for instance. Just eat a good variety and don't worry about a little roundness, it's natural.0

All veggies, sometimes bread and pasta, water, rice, potatoes, oatmeal, milk. but then again, it depends on the day.0 -
There are some foods that produce more gas, such as broccoli or cabbage, which may cause you to become bloated. Perhaps Beano might help?0
