Loosing 1-2 LBS ????

I have never really understood the point to weighing one's self and getting excited about loosing 1 to 2 lbs. I have always thought that anyones weight could fluctuate up to 2 lbs per day depending on water consumption, food consumption, and waste removal. How do you know if the loss of 1 or 2 pounds is actual fat or is just a water or waste flux? How much does one's weight change due to water, food and waste?

You could instead go by measuring the amount of inches that come off your body rather than weighing your success if it bothers you so much. Then you'll know if it's fat.
I think any amount is great as long as the numbers are going down.0 -
I say go by measurements - also, I look at overall trend. Of my weight keeps going down, I'm losing.0

Weigh yourself once a week as opposed to every day. If over a months time you are losing 1-2 lbs average then you are making progress! Also take measurements once a month0

It stays gone.... then becomes 5 then 10 then 70. Enjoy small victories.0
