New to MFP.....Today's my first day--looking for new BFFs

Hi, I'm Barbara and today's my first day with MFP.....my goal is to lose 60+ pounds before my 60th birthday the first of October. Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. I walk for 1 hour 4-5 times a week already, but my biggest weakness is sweets......and bread....Let me know what's working for you! I have high cholesterol and osteo-arthritis and would like to eliminate both of those conditions or at least improve them!

    Hi Barbara,

    Religiously counting every calorie that goes into my mouth, is what works for me!
    It's very easy to underestimate calories & eat over your allowance, if you just guess.

    MFP has been a great help, too.
    I log my food for the whole day, every morning - so I know exactly what I'll be having & ensure that I don't run out of calories by dinner time!

    Hi Barbara, key is loggin everything u eat honestly! Maybe up ur exercise a bit and it will also help. I'll send u request now. Best of luck and welcome!
