allotted calories drop as your weight does?

Hi everyone,
I completed my first full week and recorded my weight. I had assumed that my allotted calories would drop as my weight did, however I see no change in my allotted caloric intake. Am I doing something incorrectly, or is this a shortcoming of this program? It stands to reason that if my caloric intake stays the same, the weight will not come off like it should over time. I started with "Lose it", a similar weight loss program, but changed to this one because it has a much better database of foods available in Canada. Hoping for suggestions/solutions/adjustments I can make to fix this problem in an otherwise fantastic program.
Thanks.

How much weight did you lose? I think it goes down every 10 lbs you lose.0

It will ask you to update your stats after every 10lbs lost. You can do it manually if you please, but I doubt the caloric allowance would be any different with just a few lbs gone.0

Mine has never changed on it's own. I've always went into 'settings', then 'update diet/fitness profile'
If the weight is current, hit 'save' and that should do it. I update every 10 pounds0 -
i was wondering this as well!0

MFP will update every 10 Lbs if you are using their default profile set up. Mine is custom so I'm not sure if it will update or not, but I manually update mine every 5 Lbs...and unfortunately, less food0
