I like to see results and can get easily disollusioned if I don't see them. I have set my goals to loose 1kg per week until I reach my healthy weight. I am finding that even with 50 minutes of walking every day which adds 247 calories, I don't really eat that much each day to get to a total of 1200 calories which includes the exercise.
Is anyone else losing weight this fast? How are you managing with food and exercise?

I am as well! I try to sneak in as much "insignificant" exercise as I can, like parking WAY far away from the store, taking stairs ANY chance I get, walking BRISKLY and with a purpose (like in the grocery store, i don't allow myself to wander, which then cuts down my temptation to buy food i don't need .. win - win!) plus my daily workout routines I also try to stay away from breads and pastas
good luck!0 -
I have averaged about 2lbs a week since mid December. Of course I am male so I have a pretty significant advantage over you lol. I have went from 230-188 since then. I run 5-8miles Tues,Sat mornings. Do exercise bike 25mins after weight training Mon, Weds, Fri and Sat. And I do Vinyasa Yoga 3 afternoons a week when it fits in usually Tues, Thurs and Sat. And every night for 10 mins before bed I do foam roller and stretching with a focus on the muscles that were worked earlier that day. My diet log is public if you want to look at it I certainly dont starve to death and I have recently had to add a 5th meal a day to keep up with my calorie needs.

Good for you, but I am not really a dancer. I prefer walking with my dog. I don't really like getting hot and sweaty!0 -

Sorry, but if you are really looking to lose 1kg a week then you are gonna have to sweat a bit! Sweating is your body cooling itself off from exertion... which will happen when you get your heart rate up into cardio training, which will burn more calories.0 -
You would probably do well to follow the MFP suggestion of 1lb/week. If you set maximum effort goals and expect to use minimum levels of effort you are just going to fail. My post was more of a warning to the amount of workload you should be expecting if you really want to lose 2#/wk for any useful amount of time. Its hard, thats why its the last choice.0

I have just discovered that if I follow this eating plan; Breakfast; 1 toast, 1/2 tomato, margarine Lunch; 3 crackers, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 tin of salmon Dinner; chicken, salad, baked potato Snacks; coffee, yoghurt, apple ..then I still have calories left and sometimes can have a glass of wine. This is still only with a 50m walk each day.0
