....that liquid diet? Its the diet they put you on right before you have a gastric bypass. My brother did it for two weeks and lost 20 pounds. While I am not trying to find a get skinny quick situation, I am not above trying this. I found a several links on the internet about it and the things you should eat, or should I say drink. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and what were your results.
Good Morning BTW!!

What do you want to use it for? The reason they do it for before gastric bypass is to clear the digestive system to it's easier to operate on. This is the only reason to seriously do it, because you're having surgery.
You will get the same effect from a detox diet. Eat clean, pure foods, basically nothing processed for a few days and it will help clear your body of toxins.
e.g.
Breakfast
1 litre water. 3 egg omelette with tomatoes and onions.
Snack
1 litre water, Apple, 10 almonds
Lunch
1 litre water, Grilled chicken salad
Snack
Orange, 5 almonds, 3 brazils
Dinner
Salmon fillet, 10 new potatoes, asparagis
See how clean and perfect it is? This will do the same job as a "liquid diet"0 -
Keep in mind that gastric bypass patients use this only short term and the reason they dont regain the weight they've lost before the surgery is because the stomach is the size of their thumb right after the operation.
It likely wont work as well with someone who didnt have the surgery in that once you resume eating, you'll regain the weight.
And this is a "get skinny quick" fix. It's not long term unless you'll be on liquids the rest of your life.
ETA: Losing weight takes time. Nobody gained weight overnight [no matter what the scale says] so why do we expect it to come off quick. I wish there was a get skinny quick solution. I'd be the first in line.
Like another person posted - eat clean, eat well, eat often.0 -

Thank you, Sunlover. This sounds more achievable anyway. I am going to do this instead. Lack of knowledge was the main reason I was doing it. I wanted to try something I have never tried and see if I had results.0 -
That's just it.... it WILL have results but you have to ask...do you want long lasting results or just a temporary fix. Go for long lasting. You'll be happier that you did because you wont be looking for that next diet when the weight comes back.0

Like I said, lack of knowledge on this was the main reason. Trying do do what others were talking about. The people that lost this weight actually have not lost that much, except for my brother.0 -

Thanks and I will say..I had the same mentality...always trying something new. The trying something new got me to 350+lbs so I really dont want to see others doing the same thing to themselves. It's not fun carrying around all that weight.0
