Does anyone add weights to exercise routine as they lose wei

As we lose weight, if we do exactly the same exercise as before, it won't affect our calories as much. So it seems that I should either add weights (to make my body think it's heavier) or exercise longer. Just wondering if anyone else changed their routines because they had lost weight...

I find that as I get more fit I am able to increase the resistance. I do not go by weight loss.
With weights, I do 3 sets of 10. When I able to complete 3 sets of 10 of a weight, then I increase the weight until I can only do a minimum 3 sets of 8. Weight loss occurs as I get stronger.0
