poisoning from nuts!!!???!

Been being warned a lot about brazilian nuts in particular any reason why?? How true is this. Also been told not to eat raw almonds

Brazil nuts have selenium in them which can be toxic in large levels but you would have to eat a LOT of nuts fairly consistently for this to happen. No idea about the almonds thing.0

Almonds are healthy. They do however have a high fat count, but the fats are healthy fats. The reason people say stay away from almonds is because in truly raw almonds (not the ones you buy in the jar that say raw) you stand a very high risk of salmonella from mishandling. Other than that I can't find anything on why they would be bad for you at all, unless you happen to have an allergy to that particular type of nut.0

Nope no allergies just heard that you should at least soak them first and i didnt know about the brazilian nuts i will cut back just to be safe0
