Vacation Eating

This is my 3rd year in a row going to this vacation. I will be there for a week. Exercise is no problem since we will be walking everywhere. Then I think about food. Not so much with concerns about gaining weight but concerns with the idea that I have been eating healthier for a few months now and I know how MAD my body will be at me if I eat fast food junk 3 meals a day for 7 days. So I have taken some steps to look into my options. There is a Safeway express store near by where i plan to buy some stuff on day one based on what the hotel storage looks like. That will probably be mostly breakfast stuff because all the morning activities will take place inside the hotel/ convention center where there are very few food options. I also know that I will be eating at McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Subway, Pita Pit, and a local hamburger place. All of these trips will be based on group choice and going with all guys I'm probably going to see a lot of Jack in the Box and local hamburgers.

So the question for you MFP friends: What do you guys eat when dining out? I have always been a bit afraid of fast food salads since working at McDonnalds myself. What places have good "fresh" food?

    - Order grilled items instead of the fried stuff,
    - Skip or really limit your salad dressing
    - Skip extra stuff e.g. croutons/cheese (if you can D:)/sides that you're not willing to work off

-I do love grilled chicken from fast food places. Sucks that it's cooked in so much butter so it doesn't stick to the nasty fast food grills that it's loaded with almost as much fat and grease as its fried counterparts.
    - Vinegar or Italian dressings are better than most fast food places ranch anyways.
    - Cheese has good stuff in it. Croutons can be fed to the guys. :D

    Thanks for these ideas
