I started exercising and MFP in August 2011 at 270 pounds. I reduced my calories to about 1500-1600/day, and started walking daily for exercise. (5'8", 32 years old, mom of three kids, ages 2, 4, &6)

Five months later, by January 2012 I was down to 212 pounds. I remember that number because I joined the 2012 "Resolution Revolution" at the YMCA. It was a fun little challenge to get healthy at the Y. I started running in January 2012. In February 2012, I began incorporating lifting into my workout routine 2x/week.
Today was the first check-in for the same annual challenge, the 2013 Resolution Revolution. They still had my stats from last year on file.
Jan 2012
212 pounds
BMI 32.2
Body fat 38%
Waist 38"
Hips 47"
Today's stats:
Jan 2013
170 pounds
BMI 25.8
Body Fat 27%

I found some pictures from last January 2012 and took new similar pictures today to compare!
