At what age are you old???

I look at some of my friends and colleagues at work and think wow you come across as being really old...but they are not old in age wise, they don`t even seem to act `grown up` a lot of the time...is there an age when it suddenly happens?

Are you old?

are you `grown up`?

Are you mature?

How do you know when you have gone past being mature and fallen into the category of old?

    I feel old some days, but have been told i look younger then I am by 5 or 6 years. Other times I feel 10 years younger then I am...and totally act it, but thats cause alcohol is involved.

    I don't feel old till I think about (to the high school graduates this year "Kurt Cobain" has always been dead).

    I'd always been grown up/responsible/mature/age-old wise - only company appropriately playful, silly and open.

    I am not old. Period. I do not act old, I am mature. I am very youthful looking but not in a I want to be twenty look. I take care of myself, use gallons of body/face lotion, and wear flattering clothes.

    I read somewhere that you are finally an adult (an adult, not old) when you can no longer pull an all-nighter. My kids have to be in bed by 10pm, latest, while I stay up all night and will watch the sunrise, sunset, sunrise, and then think about going to bed.

    My mother always jokes that I was born old and that my age and peers are catching up to me. That being said I think of people 70+ as old. My MIL is about to turn 60, FIL is in his 70s. My mum is only mid 40s so I don't think of her as old.
