I have worked out off and on my whole life but have managed to become pretty overweight. I am almost 40 years old and have about 40 pounds to lose. THAT seems soo depressing! I recently joined a biggest loser 6 week weigh in competition at work hoping this would help keep me motivated, however it is kinda stressing me out...now I have to lose weight or everyone will know! I am looking for additional help and support to keep me going. What suggestions and tips do you have for staying motivated?

Hello there!
First, have you joined a gym? Do you workout? What do you do to stay active?
Second, what are your eating habits like?
I can help you once we know this...
Also...dont think of it as a bad thing that people will know if you lost weight, think of it as a MOTIVATION!0 -
I was a member of the YMCA on and off for years but currently am OFF.
I work full-time and go to school in the evenings. Also, I have two very active kids that keep me running from one activity to the next. So time and energy are a huge problem I encounter when I need to exercise.
Some solutions that I have put into place are, I do have a treadmill and an elliptical machine at home along with various other exercise equipment, weights, step, ball, and exercise videos and the Wii fit with Jillian Michaels.
Eating habits are...3 small meals and 2 snacks a day and I am TRYING to drink more water.
Well, I am going to get on the Elliptical right now as I have a weigh in at work tomorrow morning!!! YIKES... wish me luck!
I appreciate any advice/tips you may have! Thanks!0 -
Sounds like a plan. Good luck and I will encourage you along the way!0
